Fabularis is the next solo exhibition by Erin M McCuskey, our creative director, to be held as part of the Ballarat International Foto Biennale (BIFB) in the beautiful Marble Room at the Regent Cinema August 28 – September 24 2021
The layers of a place are revealed by its artists. They retract the curtain and challenge us to see ourselves. What happens when a city is known only for the past? How do we lift our gaze to take in the talent that surrounds us?
This is the next instalment of the story-world of ‘Luxville’, the tale of artists who challenge their city to take the risk of living up to its promise. A homage to those who take the risk of revealing their story, and to those who have never forgotten where they are from despite never being able to return.
