A provocation is a challenging question, our fifth was:

Where do we place belonging?

This one was tough to understand and fence in as we talked of many things.

• familiarity
• kinship
• friendship
• love
• nearness
• affection
• closeness
• inseparability
• affinity
• commitment
• devotion
• fellowship
• attachment
• immediacy
• passion
• faithfulness
• fidelity
• fondness
• goodwill
• mutuality
• amity
• devotedness
• cordiality
• constancy
• conviviality
• geniality
• affability
• cliquishness

Devoted to, and devotedness, seemed closest for those present. Yet so too was belonging being placed within us. Most agreed it was difficult to be devoted to ourselves despite that being the centre of belongingness.
