It’s literally about the fact that it takes people to make a building. Big stories, small stories, tall stories and true… it takes all sorts to tell a story that covers over 160 years. Three magnificent buildings – The Ballarat Town Hall, The Ballarat Railway Station and the Ballaarat Mechanics’ Institute – all have eventful histories.

Buildings are made of our imagination, the life that goes on inside provides the colour, life and culture that is legacy for our beautiful city. You dear Ballarat residents and guests have created that life, now it’s time to share it.

The Inside Story (#tisBallarat) is about collecting and sharing the social history of these three glorious heritage buildings, and telling their tales for all at Heritage Weekend May 2014. Three short films will be produced by Yum Studio to celebrate that life and colour.

The Preview is next week – come along!

Funded by the City of Ballarat & the Federal Government of Australia.

Love Madame Yum
